Our Story

In the serene coastal town of Woolgoolga, NSW, where the Pacific Ocean whispered against golden shores, Elio and Julian decided to trade the bustling streets of Sydney for a sea change. They carried with them a wealth of experience and an unbridled passion for authentic Italian cuisine. Together, they opened a charming eatery by the sea, naming it “Bella Ma’”, a nod to the beauty of both the ocean views and the dishes they served.

Bella Ma’ is an ongoing celebration of passion, flavour, and the creation of an inviting haven that feels like home.

In the kitchen, Elio, our Sicilian maestro, crafts dishes that echo the authentic flavors of Italy. Built on his experience owning restaurants in Italy and as executive head chef for several hospitality groups in Sydney, Elio is proud to offer a menu solely grounded in authentic Italian cuisine. From handmade pasta to succulent seafood risottos, every plate tells a story of dedication and love for the craft. Alongside Elio is Julian, an equally passionate connoisseur of warm hospitality, ensuring that Bella Ma’ is not just a restaurant but a welcoming space where every visitor feels like a cherished guest.
